JOHN 1
“1. In the beginning, was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
“14. The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us. We have seen His glory, the glory of the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.”
Jesus Christ
- He is the word of God
- He is the Life and Light of men
- He is the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world.
John 1:1-29
Repent ye : for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
It is said in the bible man has disobeyed the word of God and committed sin. The bible says the definition of sin as “Disobedience to the word of God.” There is none righteous, no, not one. There is none that understands, there is none that seeks after God. For everyone has sinned and lost the fellowship of God. We, as the descendants of the fallen sinful man, are sinners by birth. We tend to carry our sins to our death. Death is the eternal separation from God.
“For God so loved the world, That he gave His only begotten son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life.”
But God, being merciful towards man’s fallen nature and helplessness, came down to earth as God’s begotten son Jesus Christ. The redemption of a sinner comes with a huge price, He chose to take the fall just to deliver the man from the eternal separation from God. He died for our sins, took the punishment on Himself. He gave His life so that man can live forever, in fellowship with God. He restored the path once lost with disobedience. He has become the door to that path, which leads us to the lost eternal fellowship of God. He won the greatest victory over death and sin. And through His resurrection from the dead, He gave us eternal hope, that all those who believe in Him shall overcome death and have everlasting life.
I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Today Jesus is alive and can hear anyone who is looking for Him for love, fellowship, redemption from sins, and eternal hope.
